the purpose of total defence day is to tell us that Singapore is defensible and is worth defending.on total defence day,everyone plays a part in knowing how to keep singapore safe.Total Defence has five aspects - Military Defence, Civil Defence, Economic Defence, Social Defence and Psychological Defence. These five aspects represent the key sectors of society. They also help Singaporeans understand how they can be involved on total defence day,like when the bombing alarm is activated,everyone should switch on their radios and wait for instructions.also,when we are in school,we were ask to go to the field and wait for further instructions.in conclusion,total defence day is a day which shows that singaporeans now are prepare for the future,to commemorate the day when we were invaded by japan unpreparedly.
